They are either extremely busy, or packing their bags to get ready for their Costa Rica trip with 1.5Mil they collected through the reservations :D Though that is most likely not true, you got to admit.. it would of been a perfect con. Get a dream camera specs, get an office, sell the dream to everyone looking for one and wham.. next thing you know you're drinking Rhum on the beach!

Guys, no worries on reservations. As long as you're using the right numbers, email addresses, etc. you should be good to go. Red has been very good about this whole process.

Sure, let me see. Office takes money to rent, so does webspace, phones etc.
Then we get into the really expensive stuff like renting booths at NAB & IBC.
Renting 4K sony projectors and displaying footage that was.... acquired how?
Let's not forget people had to be flown out to NAB & IBC and paid. Oh yeah,
all the guys like Graeme & Stuart have to be paid to lie and ruin their career
and industry credits. Oh, there were also prototypes on display in the booths
that are being made by very expensive machines.

i'm sending an email as we speak. i'm pretty sure they are just busy people. i understand that i'm just a lone filmmaker trying to get in on an awesome product.....like they would care! .....hehe

Yes I was joking, and renting an office + equipment is not as expensive as you think. Consider this, maybe the Graeme & Stuart owe money to the mob. So they put this con together. Dont forget, they could raise a lot of money from private investors, so the deposits would be icing on the cake :)

Some cons will go as far as renting an entire floors of a building downtown to show off that they have a serious business. Look at the place where they are working out of, its like holywood indoors. Any investor goes in there would be so amazed and too preoccupied with the surroundings and forget what they came there to do. Its like a magic show! :Drogar-Evil(DBG):

Umm greatest con ever? hmm anyone remember that company owned by that guy Kenny something..Kenneth...LAY yeah! What was it called again? En something...En...RON. yeah.
 
I called Red today to confirm if my fax went through.....and it DID!!

It'll be a little bit before it get's processed. Kelly, I believe her name was, was very nice and searched through what sounded like 100s of papers just to find out if my fax went through.

I thank the RED team for little things like what Kelly did to ensure their customers (or future ones at that) are treated like they should be.

Thanks RED! I'll be telling all of you guys what number I am.
 
Well, after annoying the hell out of Kelly at RED, I FINALLY got my reservation number...........drum roll please.........813!!!!

Yay!!!!

Apparently I gave them a crappy e-mail, so it's my fault that I suck. haha. I'd like to thank the RED team again for providing great customer service, I'd also like to say that I confirmed my reservation for the West Coast Screening!!! This is getting to be too unreal, but I love it.
 
i faxed it 3 or 4 times cuz i wasnt sure if it went through.. then i called to make sure they got it and not to charge me 4 times
 
I think we will end up around 1050 or so. The girls are working hard to get them done, but you may not hear anything for a few days. Bad news is that we ran out of "R"s. It will take a few more weeks to manufacture more of them and get them to the last reservation holders. Please be patient. It was more than we expected.

That sounds about right. We just got confirmation on ours yesterday, number 1036. :)

I guess those of us at the end have alot of time and opportunity to see how this all pans out before we actually have to shell out the rest...
