First Green screen image from Mysterium.

We had a little bit of fun today and shot some green screen. Here is a composite. We'll post a 2k or 4k original tomorrow night on www.red.com so you can do your own. We are Bit Torrent capable on the site now.

i don´t know why, but it reminds me making my tax-declaration :D

very nice, another milestone. was that composited based on uncompressed or redcined footage?

This was done with uncompressed footage. Graeme is in the office tomorrow so we will likely post from REDCODE RAW in a day or so. REDCINE is used to process all that we do.

for some reason Jim thought it would be wise to put a working chainsaw in my hands this morning.. I still have pumpkin shrapnel in my hair.

Ahh.... now, we know who stole the RED camera... Off with his head! You gotta watch who your hire more closely... Jim - especially this time of year!

As for the photo, I wish the background were shot with RED - looks lower def compared to the tack sharp - no grain and clean foreground. I think, you're gonna have to shoot your own plates and blur them yourself. I'd like to see a bit more blue - for moonlight and less 1940s sepia and blue. A longer lens to match the flat background and lower the dof might be good too at that late hour.

Even the texture in the blue jeans is incredible - might have to use some Tiffin black promists to give it more of a film look. Still, incredibly sharp and clean look on the key... Just incredible - keep up the great work!

Where are my Blue Angles? Angels, I mean (another thread - inside joke).

Remember, we are building a camera. Please give us some elbow room on the production. :-)

We will post a motion 1k with the stills.

Jim

Very crisp, I like the highlighted sprig of hair, falloff on the downside of the pumpkin, etc, etc. You guys are living the life of Riley. I love that down the road I get to benefit from all this hard work. Thanks Jim, Jarred and Team RED.

Cheers,

The stuff you guys come up with never ceases to amaze me. And Jarred, I'm definitly jealous that you get to be a part of the image testing.

That'd be fun!

Thats really cool. I already got Shake fired up to try this stuff out. Have to admit I've never pulled a key on anything with 444 color space. This should be fun.
