READ THIS BEFORE BUYING A DVX100a

Hey Kyle,

I think you mean www.dvshop.ca, and yes they are a very reputable seller and probably would negotiate with you and throw in an accessory or two.

Best of luck!

Does anyone know where to purchase new DVX100a's? I would be willing to purchase a model-b, but the interval recording feature is very important to me!

Tommy at evsonline is a very friendly and helpfull person.
I think this is the best deal for a new dvx100b online, if you want someone solid.

I so could have used this info before i bought mine last year. Totally got hosed by one of those electronics places that list one price and then 'sell you an entire package' for far more. While it wasn't gray market, they had sold the camera and used the rebate to justify the low cost. Don't use 'Broadway Photo' in Brooklyn, NY.

Uh, last I heard, 'Broadway Photo' WAS a gray market dealer....

I know Brooklyn stores just got slammed but, is Broadway Photo (www.bwayphoto.com) a good store? I'm looking to get AG-DVC30, they advertise it for $1695. My first pick was to order from B&H but their price is $1900, the $200 is very appealing.

They're the worst of the bunch.

I bought a camera from them a few years ago and it all went fine, and I got a warranty that I used a couple times. I don't know what the fuss is about.

Great Expereince

Great Expereince

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to post a POSITIVE response from a transaction I had with another DVX member. The member posted for sale his DVX100A. Through several PM's, we arrived at a price. I paid via PayPal. He delivered. He was a teriffic person to work with and I hope all DVXers are as professional as this young man.

As Forrest Gump would say, "That's all I have to say about that."

Thanks for a great learning tool.

Damn, I wish I had found dvxuser before I purchased my camera. I got my dvx100a in 2004 from expresscameras.com. I think I paid 2500 for the camera but they suckered me into a bunch of cheap accessories and the salesman said the battery, and charger were sold separate, and I would need the "professional package" to get everything. It came with battery, charger, worst tripod ever made, 3 piece filters kit, crappy bag, and a camera cleaning kit. After all this I think I spent about 3500 for the camera. Unfortunantely I was young and naive and didn't realize what I had just done. Fortunantely the camera has worked fine for the past three years. No problems. So, as a warning, don't purchase from expresscameras.com. I believe there out in New Jersey --bad news.

Not sure if this is the correct place for this but, according to resellerratings.com, newegg has the ag-dvx100bps for $2399. But everywhere else it's listed as the ag-dvx100b. what's the deal with the ps after the b? and also, would I be eligible for the software+book&dvd from panasonic if i ordered from NewEgg? Thanks guys.

bps = what you want. p=pacific (i.e., north america) and s=states, so it's a USA model, thus making it eligible for the rebates.

So newegg.com is a reputable seller? I just want to double check b/c I got screwed on my first DVX100B purchase. Sadly fell scam to the super cheap camera but had to pay for all the "attachments". Thanks for all the feedback!

I've never bought a camera from newegg, but in our PC days thats where we got all our parts. They were prompt on shipping and had great prices.
