Smuggler's Ransom- OFFICIAL THREAD

Just watched DD:d3 (Director's Diaries: day 3)...another cool installment

Though I am now very intrigued to know why you didn't want to appear on camera at the end. Inquiring minds wanna' know!

Brandon-

There's no link to the QT file on the website. I had to manually enter the title in the search bar. Are you updating it?

Also, the title, "Directors Diaries Day 3". For short, DDD:3..... OOOHH wait, the next one should be:

Directors Diaries Day 4
=
3D:4

LOL.

If you go to the Behind the Scenes page there is a link to the quicktime there :) Click on the text that says Day 3.

Oh, and thanks Larry, glad you liked it! The main reason I didn't want to be on camera is because it was 2am, and I was irritated with everything. It was a LONG shoot, and a tough one for me, as I REALLY made up my angles and shots on the fly, which is extremely trying.

Brandon-

I'm on Safari, so that might have something to do with it, but seriously, it's not there.
Check it out:

Do you have a "force reload" on safari? It may just need to re-fetch the page from the server (sometimes it pulls the one from cache without seeing if the site is updated).

On Windows I can do it with (Ctrl+F5)...unfortunately I don't know what the command is on Mac.

Hope that helps,
Larry

edited to add: I just did some quick searching and found that Safari has an issue with clearing cache when it is supposed to. In fact, it appears to ignore the header requests from the server that would tell it to clear. One response I read somewhere suggested the following to clear the cache (cmd-option-e), but I don't own a Mac so I can't confirm it.

I took a look at the green screen mattes, they look good.

Have you fixed the issue with the sunglasses?

Working on that today, I am confident Henry can fix it.:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

When do you think that you'll have a final cut on the film?

Editing wise that should be today or tomorrow... I'll compile a cut, send it off to Daniel, and once he's signed off, we'll send it to Matt (our composer)

Just wanted to mention. I think the backround in that keyed out shot should be even more out of focus. But I'm stupid because I can't see it in motion.

Also, Why not just film it live?

Favortie quotes, " ITS A WHITE SEMI. SO YOU KNOW THAT BLINDING LIGHT? IT'll BE *SWOOSH*!"

"ALL THIS CRAP IS GOOD"

I just realized something - whenever you're using a wheelchair as a dolly you put the equipment in the wheelchair so that it's not as difficult when the set is 5 miles away.

Oh well, won't help now.

They probably didn't have enough space to keep the camera stable or action was happening in the car and they couldn't have the camera in there.

I could be wrong.
