isn't there a way to build a backend with flash so if she wants to add more vids, pages, change the photos she can do it herself? it would be a pain to have to pay someone to update your stuff all the time.

Yes it's very possible to build flash sites like this. It's usually just done with a CMS (content management system) running on the backend that's spitting out XML feeds/data that flash is pulling into the presentation layer. Flash basically plays the framework role and the CMS spits out the content to populate into it at that point. Not that hard to do, but you have to plan the site for it when you build it.

And... Ive given all the hints I can. It is up to you. Though, I may put up a picture later... MAYBE. And if that isnt a dead giveaway, Ill lose all hope.

Alexa, the video in your profile is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. YOU WERE A FRIGGIN NEWS REPORTER! That puts you three notches up on the respected scale. Woohooforyou. And for the website, where did you buy your own domain? I know a lot of places, but Im just curious.

Ok... :crybaby:

Its been a lonely day for me. All my friends went to the mall, and I didnt feel like it (for some reason). Then I watched movie, then ate a cannoli, and then Im here. I need special attention. Its awful, usually I have more of a life.

Hi Alexa,

Very nice site. I'm a web designer myself and since you asked for comments here goes.

Layout is clean, simple and effective and the navigation is intuitive. The streaming video is well done and must be taking a toll on your bandwidth since you posted this thread lol. All in all everything that a personal website should be.

Technical points for you or your designer:

At the bottom of the page remove the html code:

<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>  </p>
<noscript>
</noscript>

At the moment it causes the page to have the scroll bar on the right unnecessarily on screen resolutions of 1280 x 1024 or less, and obviously when you scroll down there is nothing there.

However those points are only small ones that have little relevance to the impact or quality of the website.

Cool Site. I really enjoyed the 60 second profile. It's making me want to create a montage of my own. Thanks for the inspiration. ha,ha!

Since you own alexa--.com you could always have info AT--alexalee.com as your email address. I only say this since bigpookiehead-dot-com has a broken link on the homepage (when you click the logo) and for that simple reason isn't as professional looking as alexalee-dot-com. Although I do like the name and the logo for bigpookiehead
Homersapien: good points! I’ll forward that to my designer. I’ve also fixed the broken link on my own. I moved away from using that url for a while now, but I still like it and it still makes people laugh or smile or some sort of something, so I keep it.

Inspiration! Well, I’ve definitely been significantly inspired by content on this site, so why not share?! Becoming inspired is a big part of feeding your own creativity, right?

Eignacio, People always tell me that it makes it a lot more convincing when they get a chance to somehow see you at work. Whenever you are doing a great shoot, make sure you save a little behind the scenes footage for yourself. And if you think you might do that, don’t show up in your pajamas for your next shoot!
