I like what I saw.
Thats more points for HVX+M2.
Points?!!! That is the whole ballgame! Wow. I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to 35mm adapters. Your footage has amazing clarity and focus, not to mention your excellent use of lighting and camera movement.

You my friend may have set the new bar on 35mm adapters. Only you and vincent pascoe has produced M2 footage that made me jump out of my seat!

Awesome. DoF not overly shallow, focus sharp, smooth moves, lighting fantastic, all to my liking. I can only dream of these results.

very nice! how are you pulling focus with the steadicam??! keep it up~

i didnt see a focus pull, looks morel ike he set the focus and used his distance from the characters to ensure a proper circle.

I love the light, it looks natural, were you just the DP? Was there any CC in post? What were your camera's settings? thanks

Very very nice Andreas,

would be interseted in the cc and settings question as well!
And what kind of monitor do you use for your brilliant focus?

This was for a small art project, so we were only me, a focus puller and the director.

For the lighting I used a 3200° KinoFlo 4 bank 4 feet, mounted under the ceiling without it's enclosure, and 3x800w redheads for the straylight.

Lenses were: A Nikon AIS 35 F1.4 for the first shot, and a 28 AI F2 for the second. I compensated by using +3 gain for the second.

Camera setiings was:
347.5° shutter for extra exposure. I prefer 180° but it was too dark when at 50fps.

Scene file:
Detail level +3
Vertical detail +3
Detail coring 0
Cine D gamma
Cine Matrix
Color temp +3
Master Pedestal -1

I invested a lot of money last year on a Steadicam rig (Clipper 2) and a Bartech wireless focus control with the M-One servo. The focus puller used measuring for the distances and double checked against my steadicam LCD when it was visible for him.
I use Dan Diaconu's lens gears, and the redrock baseplate and Iris rods.

I didn't colorgrade the two rushes, but the flash encoding did alter the gamma and saturation a bit. (more contrasty, more saturated)

......eh....it was ok.....I got dizzy watching it......................................................................I'M KIDDING!!!!.......very nice.
