Barry, how goes the book?

Yes, finally! Loving life here in magnificent Wilmington, North Carolina...

Hey, I know a family from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I stayed with them over Christmas back in 2002. The took me to visit their parents in Asheville, and they told me, that Asheville is THE place to be, a no-problems, no sorrows city.

LOL

Count me in, I'm all over that book (sticky pages included, lol)!
Still waiting for Alan at Armato's to call me when more HVX's are in stock because I want to go broke the fun way!!

BTW, I used to live near Vegas (Kingman, AZ - 100 mi. SE) and I don't miss any of that a bit!, congrats on your move away, but why N.C.? out of curiosity?

The books are done printing and are on the trucks making their way here right now. And the companion CDs are already here...

Yep Asheville is a great little (well not so little :P) mountain town, I'm up in Boone most of the time and its good.

Wilmington is great as well with the exception of the occasional Hurricane ;)

What's the song by George M. Cohen?

Over There.

goes something like:

"Over there

over there

I want that HVX200 book over there

over here."

Sorry if I've missed the obvious here, but can we place orders for the HVX book at this time? If so, where?

For those of us planning on attending the Bootcamp in Hawaii in October (which includes a free copy of the book) can we get a discount off of a Bootcamp for ordering the book... since we would probably want to read it BEFORE a later scheduled Bootcamp!

Ordering info is not announced yet, but I'm really trying to get all this sorted as soon as possible. Look for an announcement very soon...

Will it be possible, to order the book together with a HVX battery?

No money for storage this time? Just a 0.7 GB CD for Demo footage? Just wondering. :)

Batteries are sold by DVXUser.com/Zoomforce Media, and books are sold by Fiercely Independent Films, Inc. Two separate entities.

The CD is for scene file settings and for showing full-res versions of the pictures in the book, not for demo footage...

Very soon means sooner than just "soon?"

Barry,

Thanks for all your hard work on this book. We all really appreciate it. Count me in as one of your first orders!

Maybe this was the wrong place to post my question -- but since I'm planning on going to a Bootcamp, and would like my book BEFORE Bootcampe -- and the book is supposed to be INCLUDED with Bootcamp... can one of 2 things occur:

1) When you sign-up online for Bootcamp the book is sent to you as soon as it becomes available?

- or -

2) When you order the book, you get a discount for future Bootcamps (price of the book).

$289 as usual, and includes the hvx book."
"If the book is printed before bootcamp im sure if you ask barry nice enough he can preship them to you when hes shipping out the ones for the NY attendees." (Jarred)

Barry, i've signed up for the LA HVX BOOTCAMP. I was wondering since I, like many other HVX owners, have been waiting to bye your HVX Book the second it becomes available, which it now seems will be before July 29th, if I can (:pretty please:) recieve my copy of the book as a prepaid registrant of the class, which includes the HVX BOOK, when it comes out, and not have to wait for the 29th of July to recieve it. My shipping address was included with my PayPal registration.

Well NC must have improved because when I was there in 68 and 70 I went back to Vietnam to get away from there. Of course Wilmington isn't like the towns around Camp Lejeune (I was stationed at New River for helicopters, CH-46's, and later at Cherry Point with F4's) where the locals treated us Marines like we were at the bottom of the social ladder. At least we understood why the Vietnamese were hostile to us. Wilmington is a pretty nice town from what I remember which isn't much these days with CRS and all. Anyway Barry I look forward to your book and CD. I just wish you had a neat DVD like the one that came with my DVX100a. :D

PS Holy War is coming along well, we are about 1/3 of the way done.

David
