indie snap! Matte Box Now Taking Orders

LOL. I should have got on this sooner - I will email everyone and send them out next week. All boxes shipped from now on will have both.
 
Everyone seems to dig the small knobs much better so I will not include the big knobs with any future kits. If you want them with your order, just say so and I will include a set of them for free. [Small ones will still be sent]

I've also made the box a tiny bit wider - Does nothing, just a better cosmetic look

Unfortunately... The cost of some of the materials has gone up very slightly :(

I have to increase the price a tiny bit - :( - $20 on the matte box and $10 on a pair of side flags
Dv matte box complete with French flag and adapter will be $209 - Side flags will be $30/pair

I don't want to catch anyone off guard who plans to order, so I will hold off raising price until the end of the month. :) This gives ya a couple weeks to get under the wire.

Hi dakotapod

We (I) have been using the Matt Box the last few days and so far so good .

We did a few shots in the downtown core last week and drew quite a crowd , this was due to your matt box making the camera more Pro looking .
The only mod I did was to put a strip of velcro around the opening where the filtes go in .
other than that ,I really like it . well worth the money !!!!

Oh well, just got my RODE NTG-1. Man, how the sound just got a kick-ass quality!:nads:

Now I'm just waiting for the matte box, and my DVX will be complete :cheesy: !
 
IMPORTANT

I will be out of town from May 8th to May 13th
Any new orders will not ship now until May 15th [orders to date are good to go]

Has anyone had any expierience modifying an indie snap so it could mount on rails?? I have a letus 35 and would love one of these boxes, but theres no way to mount it.

(If i screw it on the front of the 35mm lens threads the matte box would rotate as i pull focus!)
 
Hey guys,

Just wanted to say I got the Box today and I love it. My setup looks incredible right now.

The box actually arrived Saturday but I didnt personally recieve it until today. The customer service is great. I ordered two Fridays ago (after business hours), he shipped it first thing Monday and it arrived in L.A. from Canada by Saturday. While the whole process, as well as shipping was painless, I would suggest adding an "Overnight" option. (I'll spend $50 extra on a $150 order to get a new toy the next day.)

The box is great, went together easily and mounted even easier, and it lookes great.

My main rig is a RigRig, so I now that the 100B with indieSnap Matte Box, a VZ Stealth PZFI control, and a VZ 7" TFT w/ shade mounted on the back by Israeli arm. Tonight was the first night using the rig w/ the monitor and matte box, and I have to say, it is a BEAST now. The Box is weightless, but that 7" TFT and arm and battery really adds alot of weight. Argh. Good times, though.
