New Music Video/Road Film

Hi there one and all. I haven't posted anything here in a long while but I just finished up a music video that I'm quite happy with and I'd like to share. The artist is a friend of a friend who is looking to get signed, so we put this together to showcase one of the tracks on his forthcoming album. It was quite an epic undertaking travel-wise, it seemed we were always one step ahead of a rainstorm. Hope you enjoy:

Great job, looks great, nice smooth tracking shots. I grew up in Palm Springs and it's funny to see the windmills come-up in videos, im always going "look, look, it's Palm Springs, it's Palm Springs"

Finnian, this was shot with the DVX100? If it is then mine's broken. These shots are so clean, like SDX900 footage. Very well done.

Maybe give us some insight into your settings, and what you used for color correcting and grading.

finnan did ushoot with the dvx ? ?and if so what u do in CC and what u use for CC ?? and what was ur lighting set up ??

Wow, thanks everybody. The best compliment by far is asking if this was shot on the DVX. I can say for a fact that it was. I did do quite a bit of CC though, mostly saturation and contrast level tweaking with the Color Corrector filter in FCP. The only DVX settings I tweaked were lowering the detail level and doing 16:9 squeezed. I also used a 4x4 filter kit with some warm grads, a Pola, and ND's

All of the interiors were lit with a simple 4 light Arri kit and my Litepanels LED flood light for CU fill and eye light. Exteriors consisted of silks with bounced fill and reflectors for backlight kickers.

And just to finally prove that it was in fact a DXV:

Thanks again!

Man that was terrific!
but....that was the Mojave desert and there has been a ban on SoCal film makers using the Mojave area....by me!
lol
Seems like every commercial and music video has Joshua trees!?
The 2nd video with the hot woman had me hooked waiting for a wardrobe malfunction. The breeze on her in the room while she was looking for her keys.....where did the breeze come from?
Did she find her keys? Must have left them in her other nightie.
Great Work

it looks great ,what camera did you use?
and if you use a DVX how did you get lt to look like that?
