Hey fellow DVX enthusiasts,
Been away from the site for way too long (college graduation, new job, etc.) and thought I'd drop off a brand new steaming... a fresh trailer for my companies first feature, Summer School.

Full Trailer right here

Incase my absence was to long here's the original teaser as well

Teaser trailer

And a short behind the scenes featurette (not shot on DVX).

School Violence

The feature is the first time I actually used the DVX100A for anything and I have to say its one of the best cameras around. I currently use it all the time at my post-house job.

Glad you guys enjoyed it. It's definitely hard to make a horror film not feel cheesy even with the trailers.

Oh jees I'm sorry guys. I didn't expect this thread to be dug up. There was a "small" fix to the coding on my site that my webmaster assured me wouldn't cause problems... bah. So, now being fixed I hope you guys can check it out with fatal error.

God, I hope its fixed... Moving on.

Mark Dog,

This is the first thing I've used the DVX on so all the other shorts are either shot on a Sony DCR-VX2000 or 16mm film stock(my own eclair or an arri).

As for settings I used this as the basis:
http://www.dvfilm.com/maker/dvx100settings.htm
and tweaked it off that. Sorry if thats vague I don't have the camera on hand. Its currently in use on a Polaris documentary.

CC was done in FCP for the trailers and the entire film will be CCed on a Da Vinci 2K.

Lighting was generally natural light and about 6 650w Arris borrowed from my college. We did use a few other little light rigs but that was generally it. For example the "blue" hallway shot in both the teaser and trailer was all naturally lit.
