These are the OG RGB film lighting units! Bought way back in 2010, they have served me well creating color washes and accents on many commercials and TV shows including Key & Peele.
The IS3 is a panel roughly in the form factor of a 2x1. It's essentially the grandaddy of the Skypanel; has white light mode with color temperature dialable in kelvin degrees (and green/magenta shift controls), plus color mode. Comes with an AC adaptor and Chimera.
The Z90 is a discontinued unit but was quite popular in its day. Can be mounted on top of a camera or 5/8" baby pin. I used it earlier this year on an NBC series to simulate a nightlight. Comes with AC adaptor, 12v cable, p-tap cable and mounting adaptors. Even with its tiny size, it has a robust back panel control with rotary dimmer, readouts for color temp, shift or RGB position.
Rounding out the package is the Zylight remote which controls all functions available on the back panel of the lights. Has 10 channels to control up to as many units (set to same channel to gang units together). While apps are now a popular way to control lights, it is actually very useful to have a physical remote to change settings on the fly. On one shoot I had the remote clipped to my belt while operating a shot and was able to reach down and dial in fill levels for different actors as they moved into the same mark--not really possible with a phone.
The system comes packaged in a rugged flight case I had built years ago. The foam and dividers are a little beat up at this point but it's fully functional.
Certainly there are quirks with this system. The white light aspect is not up to today's standards, the IS3 is nowhere near as powerful as a Skypanel, it's not lightweight. But, it's proved sturdy and reliable.
I'm asking $750 for the whole package (FYI, the IS3 with softbox is still sold today for $2700).
Pickup in Los Angeles preferred. Buyer pays domestic shipping.
