I bought a new DVX100B recently, and noted that when zooming in or out I hear the motor inside whirring (and I'm not sticking my ear to it). It seems to not interfere when recording because I don't see any levels change, unless I pump up the levels to the max, but there it picks up any kind of sound. I don't recall these sounds with my DVX100A (which they stole). So my question is, is this normal?
Two more questions. Does anybody know where can I insure my camera (against theft, damage, fire, etc...? And can anyone recommend a good backpack to carry my camera around hands free?
