You could get Tascam DR 40 new in around 160 bucks, just a thought. Good luck!

Yeah, I was looking at them, almost bought one, and they seem to be decent, but here are my issues with them.
Plastic construction- I need something that I know can take the abuse of filming, and won't break if it's accidentally dropped.
Buzzing- I've heard that there's a buzzing helicopter type sound in certain settings, which I don't want to have to deal with
Tascams bad Customer Service- I've only heard bad things about their customer service. apparently they don't reply to emails, and it's just not something I want to deal with if something goes wrong.
No 1/8 jack- I think it was a big mistake by tascam leaving this out.
One thing I do like about it is that it has a guard on the mics. I've heard from countless people that they've dropped their h4n, and bent, or broken off one of the mics. I'll definitely be doing some sort of mod to guard them when I do finally get one.

If you live near a Guitar Center you can buy a new H4N for $269 on their site and pick it up in store. They also have a 12% off coupon so it's a pretty decent savings. Just a thought if you can't find a seller

Thanks for the lead, unfortunately I live in a small town. Closest guitar center is 2 hours away. also, the only reason I'm looking for a used one instead of new, is because I literally only have $150 to spend on one.

It doesn't seem like it, and I agree with you, but when money is tight, and you have a very limited budget, $60 can be "a lot".
