Hi,
I'm a bit new to H4N. I have managed to convert single files to mp3 but don't see how to select multiple files and do the same. I will be in a non computer setting where this ability would be helpful. Is this possible through folders or a multi file select?
Thanks.

Ok..Zoom got back to me and said can only convert one file at a time. The conversion feature is great to have..but it sure takes a long time when the client wants to leave with the files ;)

What kind of work is this that you're giving the client mp3s? Typically, editors work with 24bit/48khz wav.

Certain clients want to e-mail/ftp files to transcription folk same day as shoot, especially if it's interviews. I figure if I'm going to roll audio in addition to feeding the camera, might as well do it uncompressed .wav as a usable backup and convert to mp3 after the fact. The H4N can do all of this by itself..just takes time to process each file..and you can't batch process a folder. The process time is limited by the hardware..but the Zoom can can do other things based on folder, and can "delete all" within a folder, why not this? Ah well.....

The tech support from them noted rolling blackouts as contributing to delayed responses. Got their hands full over there.
