Zoom Focus Problem (blurred)

I have a brand new Panasonic ag-dvx100bp when i'm shooting a close range or interview shot the focus is good but when i zoom it within 5x or 10x when the people or things are 5 meters away or more it becomes blurry. I've tried the manual & auto focus, on the upper right (Z99 & AF/MF99) is that the maximum zoom of the unit. It is highly recommended but i can't use the 5x-10x zoom focus properly. Is there a settings that we need to change? Can anyone help us please.

Is it normal for the focus to be in 37? when i zoom it auto/manual from 0 to 99, i cannot bring down the focus to 0 it's on 37... do i have to remove the lens to reset everything or can i fix the problem through the menu setting?
 
The minimum focus distance depends on how far the lens is zoomed. Zoom all the way out, and you should be able to get to MF00. Zoom all the way in, and I think the minimum you can go to is probably MF50.

Kuya, I sorry ngayon lang nakareply, I think may nakakabit po na filter sa lense, B + H something ata un na filter, zoom filter kasi un, tinatanggal ko po ung kapag hindi ako nagshoshooting ng super close ups... hope this helps
