Zoom doesn't go under 10!

Big problem. The zoom doesn't go under ten! also when i zoom in the ring doesn't turn, but it zoom in the camera. when i turn the ring nothing hapens either way. When i turn the ring all the way zoomed in, and zoom in with the camera the zoom ring will move back when i zoom back out. Yet it only goes to as low as 10. I just bought a new focus assembly, will this fix the problem??????? Any suggestions???? I'm frantic becuase I was hired to shoot an extremely high profile wedding this weekend!! wut happens at 10, it just stops as if ur at 4.5?

Yes. I hear the motor keep running like its trying to move to 0 but for some reason it cant, like something is blocking it...

UPDATE:
I have been messing with it, and I notice that when I switch from manuel zoom to servo and use the zoom button on the camera there is a click noise. The click is only at the very beginning of the zoom, it doesn't effect the zoom (no jerkiness), and it happens both when I zoom in or out.

that "click" is normal, i tihnk its just switching from manual to servo
