Zoom control for shoulder mount rig

I purchased the Zacuto Gratical HD viewfinder and shoulder mount plate along with the pistol grip that came with it. Great product and works very well. Here is my problem. I also purchased a Varizoom pistol grip PG-PZ. It was really made to mount on a pan handle on a tripod. It is just too awkward on the rod I mounted to the shoulder plate The Zacuto pistol grip works great but it has no zoom control or record start/stop, it is just a handle. Here is a pic of my rig and the pistol grip. Any ideas? Could I mount a rocker control to the Zacuto handle somehow? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Tom

I use the VariZoom RockDVX Zoom Control and I found always a place to fix it.
The reason for to buy it, I want to be flexible in all situations with a
Sirui monopod and sometimes with a Manfrotto MVH502A.
The Remote controller for the DVX are NO Lanc-Controller!

This may or may not mount the way you want it to, but I use this with my Af100... It is buttery smooth zoom and quiet when engaging the record button...also it is extremely well made with a less "industrial" look.

Yes, those are all great tripod pan bar solutions, but ergonomically inefficient for pistol grip application. Someone needs to make a third-party generic pistol grip with LANC and other system compatability.
