Zombiefest Update

When can I post stuff about the short on my website?

I also have a few festivals that are asking to play my zombie short (the 8 minute directors cut)in compitition. Is it OK to send it out? I'm worried they might post some info on their website before voting ends (2 or 3 weeks right?).

Thanks

I know I already said this in another thread, but it bears repeating... that zombie in your banner is one of them "never-nudes" isn't it?...

Actually, its taken from a grab from my Zombie short. David Cross plays my lead Zombie and we thought'd be funny to have that element carry over from his Tobias character on AD. I didn't want to say anything because posting the grabd and akcnowledging that I have such a known actor in my short might have been seen as promoting before the contest began...

hopefully no DQ for me :)

"Let's all promise to watch each other's films with the lights turned off and the sound cranked high."

Is there any other way to watch zombie flicks ?

Well actually I think I may have to cower in my cubicle with my headphones on for a little bit.

ABSOLUTELY ... i worked reallu hard on my score, but its got lots of low end, and lots of little details that you'll miss if you listen without headphones or ext speakers.

Two things I fret over most as a 1st time web festival particitpant
1) people will listen with sound low or or on laptop speakers
2) and that the Mac to PC gamma will be too dark on some monitors (though less concerned about this one since I did some testing).

I'll watch everyon's with the sound up and I will absolutley crank the cak out of yours OLBoy!

Josh-

This question may have gotten missed in the fray here, but I think we can submit our film to other festivals once the movies are opened here for voting? I dont think that voting has to be concluded. I'm sure if I am mistaken on that, someone in the know will respond (I hope). :)

Eric?

I wasn't sure if it was when the voting opened or once the voting had closed.

They had said once the voting was closed, not before. That means only waiting about two more weeks before submitting anywhere else. Actually, you can SUBMIT to other places now, as long as they won't be showing it prior to the voting closing here.

That's what I thought.

Speaking of things once said -- was that just a rumor about the 320 screen grab?
Or were they going to use them on the site but it was just too much?
Got mine ready.

No rumor ... they were going to use it & prepped everyone to get ready, but I think they just had too much on their plate & it would just be another endeavor to try & get everyone to submit those as well (for it to be an even playing field).
