Zombie stills

zombies look really fake. the first picture is almost funny. It might look scarier if you turn the saturation down a bunch.
 
The zombies kind of have this 70's cheese going on. There's a part of me that can appreciate this, but I'm not sure they were executed as well as they could have been...in that style I mean. Your going up against a lot of really good looking stuff nowdays. They just sort of fall into that cheesy bracket. Keep working at it.

what is it about an $800 bugjet that you guys don't get. On most shoots that barely covers food for all the volunteers and crew.

I have seen some films with excellent makeup but the story sucks, and vice versa. I reserve judgement until I see at least a trailer.

Fair enough Ed. My point in terms of "the stuff you have to compete with nowdays" was never meant to lower this guys work. I worked on a zombie film that had the same contraints ZombieFlick and about the same budget. And actually we didn't go as far with the make up design. We kept it a lot simpler, so I commend greeches for going for it. My point was that people are going to criticize on certain levels thats all and some aren't going to care how much you spent on it. And I prefer a different looking zombie. So what.
I personally wanted to see better shots. Just some better stills. That's all I asked for. Plus he asked for feedback. I could have said nothing. Cheers
 
I do agree that some of the makeup was a bit much. On next scene I'm gonna have some simple creations, as many people would not be so caked up....

BUt I must admit, I have been influenced by Romreo's Dawn and Night since i was a wee one, so I am bias!!! :)
 
how about some bleach bypass to give it a cold look
or try to get a constant look trhuought the feature ,I'm not an AE wizard but I know u can spice up even the crapiest footage with some AE and sound is also very importatnt in creating the whole horror atmosphere.
if I was to do a horror clip I would include some early cannibal corpse or carcass tunes.
