Given that the Zeiss Batis Lenses are still 3 months away (or so they say) how much would you be willing to pay to have one today?

25 F2 $?
85 F1.8 $?

I'm sure they are outstanding lenses, but the majority of my work is video using fully manual lenses. I really don't have the business need to spend the coin on electronically controlled still glass.

Indeed: those lenses are probably the best you can get if you're a photographer, but not that good if you're shooting mainly video and need good manual focus.

Also, if you really want them and really want them NOW, the price you pay is bounded by the standard price plus the rental cost for the few days you may need it from now to whenever they are available at standard price. Lensrentals has them at $80 for 6 days, each. Plus you get to test them and see for yourself if they really are the best choice for you.
