Optics are pristine. As far as the body of the lens, it would have been mint, but the first time I tried to attach the lens gears for my FF to the unit, the contact points left marks on the focus ring (shown in pic 2). This is because unlike most nikons, the body of this lens all-metal. Maybe you plan on using it with a FF too so it may not matter. I have a velvet cloth ring that I made to protect it from the lens gear, incase you will be using it with a FF.
I find that I dont use my 50mm much. I'll usually try to push up to 85 or down to 35 to avoid using it. Some people like 50mm, some dont care for it much. I guess im grouped in with the latter. That being said, I'm selling my Zeiss ZF 50/1.4 and will replace it with a cheaper nikon 50mm for those times I do need it.
