How vintage? Like Arri b-mount standards? ('72-ish) mk1 speeds? ('77-ish?)
I've used PL mk1 super speeds a ton, on a lot of different cameras, including 55.
Pretty, soft by modern standards when open more than a 2.8 or 4. Flare light plum/purplish colored, easy to wash the frame with light purple flare if that's your thing. Almost all the Zeiss primes from early 70s through Ultra Primes in the 90s look very very similar.
What are you looking to figure out?
