Hello,
I am selling my beloved Zeiss Makro-Planar 100mm ZE to upgrade to the 135mm Sonnar. I just don't use the macro functionality and I am smitten by the 135mm after renting it several times. This is a great opportunity to get a big discount on an amazing lens.
This lens LIVES on my A-cam 5d3 for interviews, 8' away at f2.8. The Zeiss bokeh and colors have been called out by many of my clients who were used to 70-200 zooms. It is really a magical thing.
The macro attributes of this lens are also unparalleled. If you are doing serious macro work and need a true flat-field of focus for your subjects, this lens delivers vs the Canon 100mm. A curving plane of focus can wreck the corner-to-corner sharpness of a small product shot.
The lens has some cosmetic abrasions from being used daily for a few years. Optically it is perfect. I have the original boxes if you'd like them as well- I will need to get them out of storage! It includes the hood, original Zeiss front cap, and generic back cap.
I am asking $1200. I am located in the NYC metro area and would prefer to deal locally. If you are interested but located farther afield we can try to make arrangements.
