Please see photos for excellent-plus, near-mint condition of this lens. The Carl Zeiss Contax/Yashica 100-300mm remains a world-class zoom that surpasses many primes in MTF. Zeiss T coating adds a filmic aesthetic that smooths out the too-sharp digital sensors of new cameras. As with nearly all copies of this lens there is some zoom creep when the lens is pointed vertically. A lens band (or human hand!) is sufficient to keep focal length steady if you ever are shooting straight up or down. Almost all shooting angles and normal situations experience no zoom creep.
This Zeiss zoom is an MMJ version. The optics have no scratches, fungus or haze. The lens was recently inspected and approved by Duclos Lenses.
I am not the original owner and already have a full set of Zeiss Contax primes and zooms. This one came through a friend and
I don't need a second copy.
This Zeiss zoom is not an everyday find.
I will ship the lens fully insured.
Happy shooting!
