ZEISS Batis 2/25 and ZEISS Batis 1.8/85 – exclusively designed for Sony's E-mount cam

These look like really nice lenses but they are focus by wire, not manual focus like the loxia. This means if you ever want to add focus rings and follow focus then you're dealing with some tricky situations - especially wireless - because there are no hard stops.

On my full sized rig i tend to use Contax Zeiss glass, LOMOs and also Sony Zeiss ZA zooms. On my A7s i've found a good match with voightlander rangefinder glass (which i use for stills anyway). These little lenses are all manual focus and i've managed to rig focus rings and even get wireless FF on them. They're lightweight, compact and have a wonderful look (IMHO)

For photogs, these are probably the best lenses to put on an a7RII. Many reviewers say they are close to OTUS in terms of sharpness. In any case they are not out yet, so I would wait for the lensrentals evaluation, which should happen in a week or two.
