on Thursday I was shocked by a Van de Graaf generator, but I didn' touch it!!!
a small light hit my hand, which was about 2.5 cm far from the generator.
I have counted, that it was about 25000 V !!!!

That kind of stuff scares me! I get zapped all the time, worse in winter. When I was little, I tried to unplug our clothes dryer and grabbed a bit of raw wires. Felt like I would imagine holding onto a jackhammer would feel. Then another time, I turned off the sprinklers in the yard just as a bolt of lightning snaked really REALLY close. I had one hand on the metal spigot and one hand holding the metal frame of our kerosene tank. Felt a little twinge then too.

Maybe that's why I'm so sparky all the time.
