Zacuto is conducting phase one of their 2011 camera test

These days, in Hollywood, Zacuto is conducting phase one of their 2011 camera test (named "Zacuto Great Camera Shootout 2011"). It will include most of the new cinema style digital cameras on the market, including Alexa, F35, RED One, Phantom, F3, AF-100, and a bunch of DSLRs. Of course everything will be compared to the gold standard: film. Also the test is run not by Zacuto but by an independent team lead by Robert Primes ASC.

let me guess... Arri wins.. followed by the f3, af100 and dslrs.... They'll put RED in last.

i thought the last one was very informative. im really looking forward to this comparison. so many new cameras out than before.

Good for them. This is a test I think all of us want to see and I appreciate that they have taken themselves out of the process. Really no more cries of DSLR self-interest and marketing hocus pocus. I think it is very commendable what they are doing.
 
I think the AF100 will do a good job. Because of the extra accessoires -evf/baseplate/matbox/batteryplate/...- ZACUTO will sell in the future.
Another reason will be the AF100 rental packages of ZACUTO.
 
I hope they put the gh2 in the list. I don' t think they will have time to test with the new hdmi output which makes it even better.
