ZACUTO HVX Packages

jabour,
it's a great company to work with. Very responsive people. I purchased a Petroff matte box and follow focus, the Zacuto baseplate, battery plate, noga arms and Marshall monitor from them. The gear is versatile and tough. Couldn't really ask for anything better.

i really like Zacuto. I just bought an HVX package and a slew of other things... I rent from them often. They seem poised to fulfill the needs of the growing prosumer production market, creating products and implementing their knowledge of production into their service.

Tell them pablo sent ya ;)
just kidding.

Currently working with Zacuto baseplate and rods for review and have done some actual work with the set up. The product is rock sturdy and the company cannot be beaten. I would not hesitate to recommend them and any product they offer.

Can't say enough good thing about Zacuto, I bought most of my stuff from them. They are very knowledgeable and friendly (Chicago style :) And all they sell is proven field equipment, the best stuff...(they are also a rental house, so they have to).
As far as prices, like most stores this size, there is always room to negotiate a better price. What you see on the site is "catalogue price". Also sometime it's not a bad thing to pay a little more when you get that kind of service, for instance if your gear break they can get you a loaner first thing the next day, (their rental dept is open 7 days a week) , try that with B&H... All my crucial equipment is bought from smaller stores for exactly that reason.

I guess sometimes you need an echo as a way of rewarding a vendor who provides exemplary service and products ;)
