Zacuto EVF Review

If you're using it with the F3 there seem to be scaling issues (the picture's too big!)

I wish the image could be scaled smaller too. When using an eyecup chammy I need to push firmly against the EVF to see the entire frame. And this is with the image scaled to it's smallest setting.

Though I doubt it, I still wonder if would be any easier with 2.5x lupe instead of the 3x?

Best,
Bern

I've got the 2.5x loupe on the Snap EVF, and it's not easier. The issue seems to be the thickness of the plastic frame around the screen. The present firmware allows the picture to be scaled up, down, left, right and zoomed in.... we just need to be able to zoom it out a couple of clicks. I'm hoping Steve from Zacuto is still reading the forums and not too mad with me for criticising!

Hey Justin, thanks for taking the time to post reviews on various sites about the zacuto EVF, if I was working on million dollar projects I wouldn't want to be bothered with posting a review, I would be out spending money. Its nice to see people who really care and do things like this for no money.

This is another reason I posted a review. Feedback.. Look Paul, I can guarantee you that Zacuto will make whatever adjustments to the finder to make it work for you.. Also, you didnt say anything bad about the it, so dont think that way.. They are good like that.. How long? Yikes, thats a good questions for them..

Chazz, hopefully when you work on a large project you wont forget where you came from.. I'm where i am now because of everone I've worked with, and if you knew me you would know I care just about as much for my crew as I do my career.. So me taking the short time to review a product that makes something better for so many people is more for my satisfaction knowing I might have helped someone find the thing that will help them do their job than anything else..

Thanks and hope you will take the time to make others aware of something positive you would like to share in the future..
