GH3 Zacuto EVF Pro for GH3 or...?

I am anxious to buy an EVF for my GH3 (and GH2). The Zacuto EVF Pro seems to have all the features I'm after. I see that Cineroid and SmallHD have models with Retina displays, so I'm wondering if I should hold off a bit to see if others come to market.

I generally like the GH3's OLED screen, but prefer to focus with the GH3's EVF. I have the Carry Speed VF-4, which works quite well, but ergonomically, I would prefer to use an external EVF. The added features of peaking and false color really appeal to me, but I won't know how much I use them until I spend time with them. When using my GH3 in the FHUGEN Honu cage, the GH3's OLED doesn't fully tilt, which is another reason that an external EVF would be handy.

I've been thinking of getting a Zacuto EVF, though I might start with their Z-Finder 2.5x for the GH3, and then buy the EVF module to use with the same 2.5x Z-Finder optics.

The fact that you can buy the Z-Finder and EVF separately is kind of nice. BTW, they have a specific GH3 mount for the Z-Finder and their version 2 Gorilla plate.

Yeah, this is one of the reasons I was considering the Z-Finder, as Zacuto generally produces well made products.

I have the SmallHP DP4 EVF, great as monitor and a kind of bulky as EVF but still great!

I like the SmallHD products, but I found a used Zacuto EVF Pro locally on Craigslist for $550. Seemed like a good price, so I grabbed it, did the firmware upgrade and think it will work out nicely. The build quality and design is very nice, and the firmware adds some good features. I generally think Zacuto stuff is somewhat overpriced, so I'm glad I found a used one.

I've tried the SmallHD DP4 EVF, and wasn't too happy with the optics. The DP4 monitor image looks great, but I wish they had invested more money on better optics for their EVF setup.
