Zacuto baseplates / Follow focus compatibility

I know that Zacuto baseplates on the FS100 require a spacer to reach normal matte box height. What about with follow focus systems?

I have a Zacuto baseplate and I'm getting the Jag35 follow focus. Will I need the spacer?

I have a Zacuto baseplate (from 2008) and don't use a shim/spacer.
I have thought about it, some of my lenses ride a tad low. Hasn't been an issue for me yet tho.

I just grabbed a manfrotto quick release and attached it to the baseplate. Figured it was the quickest and cheapest solution since I have one laying around.

Cool! Thanks for your help! Did you need the Manfrotto QR for a follow focus or the matte box?
