The V1 lowers it's resolution from 800 lines to 540 lines or less when gain is set to 9dB or above (both H and V res). This is when using PROGRESSIVE modes.

I realise the FX1/Z1 camcorders don't start with that high a resolution and don't have progressive but I want to know do they get lower in resolution and show similar softening and moire patterns when their gain is used at high settings. Thank you.
