I just got a new DVX100B and I'm trying to get the best quality out of Youtube, but I just can't seem to get it to come out nicely.

Shooting in 30p with -4 Detail
H.264
720x480
Key frame rate-24
Frame Reordering - Yes
Encoding mode - Multi-Pass
Sample Rate - 48.000 kHz
Sample Size - 16 Bit

Thanks in advance!!

looks decent for a first try to me (of course it can be better, but for a firsdt try...) U set the bit rate high? u shuld try that.

I got a bit tired of that zoom in and tilt to the ground transition type thing...was overdun. Other than that decent looking stuf there....especially some of the moving shots.

Maybe start by shooting Squeeze? (16:9)
Then export 640x360, so you don't get the black bars on the sides.
Bitrate of 4000-5000.
Here's a Youtube HQ tutorial, I would imagine the settings would be similar for Vimeo

As for your editing, since the constructive criticism already started ;^) with the ground thing
maybe consider:
Fewer dissolves?
Cuts can keep a harder edge to the piece; all dissolves kind of loses the edge.
Mix your locations more?
So it's not all the one wall, then all stairs.
Like wall, stairs, ledge, railing, stairs, wall, etc.

Hope this helps!

That does not look like 30p..
Looks like 24p with a high shutter.

But I'm wondering if youtube makes it 24p.. cause I can see some lagging in the footage.. As if the 30p is being slowed down a little bit..

I don't know :P hehe
