Youtube project direct submissions!

I was the director of photography on one "Project Direct" entry.

Called Disconnect.

Of course problems arose for some reason or another and the director apparently did not upload an HD version! So it looks like shi* and is a bit darker then intended. Please wathc the higher quality version (not HD but I was told by the director it was better... although I don't see much difference) and brighten monitors all the way before you watch.

:) Enjoy!

PS: I did like watching the other two mentioned above my post. I enjoy the extremely different approaches directors have taken with this competition.

Top Ten Announced Tomorrow!

Best of luck to everyone!

As for the competition...

I am sick of two or three people roaming around YouTube saying that they know who got in or not. Some say winners have already been notified and etc. I say boo to that! I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for my film and fellow DVXusers until they announce the list in the AM.

Best of luck to all!!! Hopefully Christmas will come twice this year!

There are many more of us here at DVXuser with entries who are either not part of this thread or have their own threads, so best wishes to those as well!

I was the director for the project direct submission "Interview with the Recluse"

I had a great time making it... its the first film shot on my new HMC150. But I will not be participating in Project: Direct next year. There is no way the top 10 made it using the grading score they claimed, and SEVERAL of the top 10 blatantly violate the rules of the contest! There were a bunch of great films I saw that didn't make the list that did follow the rules... the whole thing is just ridiculous.
