before someone jumps in and says "don't worry about what other people use. just find what works best for you and go with it" i just want to say this is simply a survey. i'm curious what you guys are using for your HMC150. there is no right or wrong answer

1. when using the HMC150, what is your preferred editing application?

2. do you find yourself shooting in 720 or 1080 more often?

3. do you use the HMC150 standard mic or an external mic?

CS4 (once it gets all the bugs worked out... fortunately it's not my primary source of income).

1080p... no reason, just because.

I had a Sennheiser ME66/K6 setup, so I just bought a ME64 and slapped that on there.

Been using FCP 5 transcoding using Toast 9 to DVCproHD until I figure out which direction to go with native editing.

Shoot strictly 720/24. Have 2 scene files. A Cine-V for contrast and a Cine_D for a low contrast dynamic range image.

AKG CK93 hyper with Ktek shock and Rycote softie. Also 1st gen Sennheiser EW100 wireless or whatever the model is.

All works well at the moment.

I use Sony Vegas 8.0c on an old, slow Pentium 4 3Ghz. I will be upgradeing to one of the Nehalem's later this year. Because it is so slow, I have been batch rendering to cineform intermediate, and using that for my timeline editing on any project where I do compositing. I find it difficult to do even straight cuts on a single track of AVCHD with this computer - hard to zero in on a specific frame.

So far I have shot in either 720p60 (when I want to overcrank for smooth slomo, or 720p24 for most everything else.

I use an Audio-Technica AT897 short shotgun mic. I also have a wireless lavalier that I can use on one channel, with the AT897 on the other. Audio has been excellent with this. I haven't even tried the internal.

PP cs4 ( but first transcode to dvchd pro...it works better)

720 50p (or 60p when I use ntsc mode) all the time....... double information there in case I want to undercrank something (you never know when something will look better in slowmo).....

As for mic, Rode ntg-2.
