Playing with the camera today and wondering what sort of setup tips and tricks everyone has. Could be simple and seemingly obvious, to a hidden "aha!" moment.

User Button configs, hardware mounting configs, etc.

There is a power LCD function that makes the screen much brighter. Must be assigned to a fn button. I did it to fn7. Resets with power cycle.

Having just been playing with it, I'm in love with the iPad app for the camera. The EVA ROP itself is free, but you need to purchase our WN50 wifi adapter. It mounts in the USB slot hidden behind a door above the battery compartment. The WM50 is small enough that the door will close once it's mounted, so you really just set this up the first time and then leave it there forever. Took me maybe 5 minutes to figure it out between the iPad and the camera menus. The layout of the controls and display are great, and you have much faster access to changing things like ISO (even from something like 800 Native gained down to 400 to 2500 Native gained to 5000). And you have FULL access to the menus, although if it is not a function shown on the app interface then you'll need to be looking at a monitor to navigate the menus.

The EVA ROP is available for free download now for both iPad as well as Android tablets, so even if you don't have the WM50 you can get a sense as to the layout of the app. The iPhone version isn't ready yet because the engineers have to work on a layout that's functional on a smaller screen, but I understand it's due soon. I personally think the tablet is the way to go.

Not trying to push you guys into buying WM50s -- we make pennies on 'em. I just think the app is incredibly functional.
