You Tube weirdness

Hi All,
I have uploaded videos to YouTube in the past with no issues...standard def.
I uploaded a video today using the same settings (Sorenson Squeeze MP4 1mbs Stream) and although the video looks fine in the workspace on YouTube, the 4:3 format is expanded to 16:9, chopping off the top and bottom of the image when playing the file on "regular" YouTube. Maintain aspect ratio is checked in Squeeze.
I did a help search and it seems that others have had this problem back in May 2010.
I have tried HiDef 480P and SD streaming 1mbs files with the same problem.
Anybody??

Thanks,
Ken

Post a link to your video so we can see the issue you're describing.

Youtube's default player is 16:9 All content will be squeezed into it. You can't avoid the black bars in a non-full screen player on any 4:3 content.

Demistate,
I was expecting side bars on my 4:3 spot in the default player. This what I have experienced in the past as the "proper" display.
Unfortunately, YouTube's player EXPANDED the video to fill the 16:9 space and cut off the top and bottom of the spot.
I tried 2 different MP4s: a 1mbs stream and a HD480p file. Same with both.
Pulled the file offline last night.

This morning I made a WMV file with the same settings (preserve aspect ratio, etc.) and it worked fine.
Funny thing is, the other 2 files looked ok on our You Tube account page workspace, just not online.

Again, the current WMV version looks fine.

Thanks for your reply,
Ken
