FS7: You can take 3 lenses and your FS7 which ones you grab?

sony e 16-35/f4 and the 28-135/f4....both have steady shot which works great and AF works surprising well....no issues with adapters, slow f stop,...no issues whatsoever...f4 is not really fast but optical performance is outstanding....

Why don't you like the 17-35mm, I'd really be interested to know! I love it because you can go wide to an MCU easily enough (just not parfocal at all), nice for close focusing, excellent at handling perspective distortion and the bokeh is pretty decent.

It's a fabulous lens in my view. Good coatings, can shoot full frame, solid metal construction, focus throw is short but it is a wide angle and most of all it is deliciously rectilinear throughout it's range. This is what makes this lens so special as a full frame f/2.8 wide angle. Few zoom lenses at this price point can claim that.

First time I have heard anyone diss this lens but people work differently.

There are 17-35s in the same build as the 20-35. I had 3 and they all went horrid to focus- probably lost in the most of time now :)

I searched the web, checked all current and past eBay listings - can't find a single 17-35mm Nikkor lens which looks any different than the one pictured in the jpg you included. I'm not saying it does not exist but it must be one of those "super rare" lenses. I'm intrigued.
