Slight gamble as the english skills are questionable, but he had good feedback and ebay is pretty good with returns. Also since he converted it to EOS, he didn't list it as FD, which probably ensured barely anyone saw his auction, - I've seen theses go for $1200.

Can't wait until it arrives :)

Supposedly the finest 1.2 lens ever made. We'll see. I'm glad I can try it on a Mark II for comparisons to 85/50 L 1.2s

Funny you post this since I've been recently looking for the perfect slightly longer than 50mm lens as well. I've looked at the Voightlander 58mm, Minolta 58mm 1.2, Nikon, Canon, Pentax, and finally found looked at some Soviet glass. I actually just got some Helios 58mm lenses to experiment with, but one of them (the 44-3) I just realized has a specialized m42 mount which may require me to grind the lens itself to fit. The seller sent it before I could cancel the order, so hopefully it'll fit on my adapter. They were cheap, so I thought why not.

Anyways, have fun with your lens while I grind mine on sandpaper lol.

Thanks, should be here tomorrow, can't wait to test it (though eventually I may re-ebay it since I've seen it go for $1200) so I can get one of the zooms or the SLR CINE t.95 - though that's a long shot. Try 57mm 1.2 hexanon if you're still looking

Congrats!

This reminds me of the time last year I found a FD 55mm 1.2 AL in a thrift store.

I was so bummed I couldn't find a use for it myself, but was blown away when I saw what it went for on ebay, around 3 times what you bought yours for.

Crazy rare lens is crazy rare.

The thing was gorgeous though, the weight, the quality.

I don't think you'll be dissapointed
