yet another newb GH1 hack question; please be patient but...how do i know if I am applying the firmware correctly? the gh1 body formware says 1.32 and serial is weola001...

I d.led vers 1.32 from Panasonic site and copied the hacked firmware bin (chose ptool version increment and prevent) to the root (top) of the sd card. I inserted the card and switched the gh1 into "play" mode (green play button) and all i got was a message on the screen that said 'no valid pictures to display"....

I was expecting an error message say " cannot complete firmware" or something like that...makes me think I may be doing something wrong procedurally...

Have I done everything correctly?

You've donme everything right but your camera is unhackable. the first 0 in the serial number denotes the year 2010 and the letter L denotes the month, maybe October. Anything past May production has the locked down firmware that can't be hacked.
