Yet another music video !

Liked it alot! Nice vintage-faded look !

How wide is the lens in the rap sync scene?

Just out of curisosity, how much do you make on a video like this?

were you using matt's curve? Or is this raw out of cam and then post graded only?

very nice stuff. Love how the whites blow out, did you crush the whites a bit?

it changes per project.
i make a living out of this though

it goes from 2000 to 5000.

it is a 10mm on those wide shots.

thanks.

no Matt's curve applied.
yep, the whites are pretty washed out, played with lightness and saturation a lot.

thanks guys.

i like it..

but it's a tad too faded for my personal opinion.
but really cool and a good way to test out my new woofer

What is your workflow in terms of locking the shutter and ISO? Do you do somethign in particular to achieve constant shutter throughout your shots? Of is it always a guessing game and whatever is close is good enough?

usually a guessing game.
but you kinda learn to rely on the LCD.

would you mind walking me through the steps?

Right now what i understand is:

1) turn camera on
2) go into portrait mode
3) hit live view
4) hit AE lock

but i don't have a clue what shutter or what ISO it's giving me? Wnat to keep it at a reasoanbly low ISO so it's not too noisy, but keeping the shutter between 1/50th and 1/80th ( preferably 1/50th or 1/60th ) since there is no 180 degree.

Oh I'm digging it! No way I would recognize D90's "characteristical look". Great job!
Nice tune too, already stuck in my head!

... Deklamujac te slowa, zaczelismy sie mlodziezy w Polsce podobac...
... Polski jazz to historia, to historia ...

i still don't quite understand what it is you're afraid of. a much bigger problem is getting a constant exposure, yes done by eye after some practice, but whether the shutter is 1/50 or 1/60, or even 1/100, is rarely a huge problem if even recognizable by most people. what are you trying to accomplish by bending over backwards to achive a constant shutter speed? what exactly isn't good enough and what's not good enough about it?

my eye has been trained to accept 1/48th or 180 degree as the shutter i prefer for my film shoots, unless doing music video's or anything of high shutter value, so i want to maintain my motion blur throughout anything i shoot. And yes, that is quite important to me. If i can maintain anywhere between 1/50th and 1/90th then that would be acceptable.

you say it's important then you say you accept anything from 1/50 to 1/90, i'm not sure i follow. that's a huge difference and not hard to achieve at all.

lol, i said acceptable. not my first choice, but if the camera will allow me to get within those values then i guess it's alright.

btw i forgot to comment on the video. i can't say i loved it, an ok song but the video didn't add anything to it, but i did love the cinematography and post work. looked great. congrats.
