C-stand grip with a mini ball head

This set-up is OK for smooth roads, I would think you need to
almost bolt the camera to the frame if you wanted to do
any real mountain biking shots.

I went into the local camera shop yesterday and took a picture of your set up in there to show the salesman. I already have some of what you have minus the mini ball head. He told me that I would need a larger ball head to support the weight of the camera. Also that steel stud or extension rod that extends out from the clamp that is on your bike frame, did you make that or is that something that can be bought?

I do a lot of bike riding and have been trying to come up with ideas on how I could rig my camera to my bike and when I saw your setup, I wanted to give it a shot...

I cut that rod from a longer stainless rod. The rods that came with the set-up were 12" and 18" long. I did a test with the 12" but it stuck out to far.

can you provide a link to the actual piece you bought for the clamp? There's so many to sort through I'm having a hard time identifying the appropriate one!
