Just thought you should know (since I can assume you are a fan of the flick) I am sitting down right now to watch BAD SANTA for the first time. If I can stay awake (just had a big Thanksgiving meal) I'll report back to ya and the gang tomorrow!

That movie was OK...it wasnt the greatest movie.

every other word was F**k

Kinda lost interest in it after a while...

After my meal that i had a few hours ago...im still sittin here watching Bondathon on Spike TV...using my handy DVR to record all them to later put to DVD cuz i cant find the collection anywhere on DVD...i set the DVR for automatci record...from 9 this morning till like 9 pm of nonstop recording..its gona be the bommmbb!

Completely disagree. It is by far my favorite holiday movie. I love the fact that it breaks the boundaries of what we normally consider to be 'acceptable humor' for a film with some big name actors. I'm just a huge fan of it. The profanity issue, you know what, doesn't bother me one bit and just goes to establish the characters. I love this movie.

Enjoy it.

I didn't see it breaking any boundries other than the writers trying to see how many pointless cuss words they can script in just to get an R rating for an otherwise plotless movie. It dragged, got borning and was painful.

To each their own though.

I thought it was funny as hell. How can you not think that movie was funny??? I'm laughing just thinking about it.

I think that this is a film that falls completely into that cult category, much like 'The Doom Generation' any Troma film 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' 'Bound' 'Shopping' ect.

There is a certain audience who loves this film and everyone else just hates it. I happen to be one of the people who applaud how unique it was to me and the unrelenting story. I'm just a big fan of it, I don't know, I still hate Rocky Horror.

Rocky Horror is pointless..but still fun to watch.

there's like no story to it.

the only reason people actually watch the movie..is when they have a group of people with them...preferbly like 8-10..and they have their shout out sheets ready to shout out towards the movie.

me and my friends tend to do that once and a while when all hang out and are in the mood to do the shout outs.

In my day no one would be caught dead with a shout out sheet

your just supposed to know what to say when because you are that cool ... or that lame

See that is my point though. I think that Bad Santa really falls into that same category as Rocky Horror. I don't mean to imply that it has had anywhere near the cultural impact, nor has it inspired people to dress in drag and play with noise makers at midnight on Fridays, but it does fall within that cult category.

Makes sense to me at least

When I moved from New York in 98 this theatre that played Rocky Horror at midnight had just started playing Showgirls as well

the drag queen would dress up and do the dances and dialogue to the movie a la Rocky Horror and have a "gay" old time

I already memorized like a good 3 quarters of the sheet already.

the first nite me and my friends went to those huge screenings they have...i dressed up as Brad Majors...and my friends were all dressed up as the Transylvanians.....and in order for us to be like ''accepted''....we had to do a crazy dare that people in the audience shout out..while on stage.

luckily for me...i jus had to make out wit this girl..she was fugly in every sense of the word...id never step 5 feet within her perimeter ever if i saw her in the street..

my friends got it the worst...one of my friends who is a guy...had to strip down to his underwear and dance around...and then lapdance a gay guy...it was funny as hell!

later on...we did all the shout outs and i got a high five from another Brad Majors.

yeah what jack said, pretty f@#$% gay,i could never walk in those heels, what a waste of money! but anyways, i used to work with people who swore like that. every friggin sentence. you would go into work in a good mood then come home swearing like them all nite. i'm glad i'm not at that f@#$$%
job any f@#$%^ more you know what i f@#$% mean! i did like it when he's eating lunch and he tells the lady and the kid that he's eating, sandwich falling out of his mouth

It makes it even better to know that Billy Bob Thorton was actually drunk during a lot of the filming. I'm a big fan of dark comedies and this one is way up there on my list. My wife, on the other hand, didn't find it funny at all. I guess some don't find Santa pissing himself as laughable as I do. Wasn't this John Ritter's last film? His character was hilarious.
