y/c and comp outputs on DVX - uncompressed?

We're gearing up for a bluescreen project.

I know that the 4:1:1 compression of chroma on MiniDV camcorders makes for more challenging bluescreen matte work, but I'm wondering if any of the current best MiniDV camcorders, the DVX and XL2 -- or even Sony's new HDV unit -- output uncompressed video on their y/c or comp video outputs? I'm hoping it might be recorded direct and uncompressed to a computer for better blue screen results.

Talking to the people who make Advantedge (a $1500 tool to clean up blue screen footage, etc.)

Thanks!

Oops -- that last sentence in my previous post was incomplete.

I talked to Advantedge's tech people about their views on the best cameras for blue screen capture work. If none of the better MiniDV cams or the HDV are capable of uncompressed chroma out, I'd love to get opinions on on camera choice for bluescreen work from people who have tried various recent cameras in conjunction with the current crop of post production comp tools.

The Sony FX1 apparently outputs uncompressed HD on its component outputs, but you'd need to have a high-def analog component recorder hooked up to it.

Don't know if the Y/C output of the DVX or XL2 is pre-DV compression or not. However, Y/C is a version of analog compression anyway -- the R-Y and B-Y channels are permanently blended together before being output, so whether there's DV compression on the signal or not, you can't really call it "uncompressed".

Worth a test though, if you have a high-quality analog capture card...

I dont know when you have to shoot on bluescreen, but at NAB here in a few months a company is going to release a device that allows the dvx (likely other cams too) to output uncompressed video. The website for more information is as follows: http://www.reel-stream.com
no price yet of price but the creators have said that their device will cost between $1 and $3300.
