I just bought a new 64gb XQD card from B&H, G series read 440mb, write 400mb. My old cards, purchased 2 years ago, are 64gb r/w 400mb.
After trying to initialize the new card yesterday in my FS7 (running latest fw) the initialization stretched to 10 minutes before I had to shut the camera down and set the card aside out of circulation.
I just popped it in and it seems to be working. As a test I recorded 4K XAVC 59.98 to fill the card as quickly as possible (12 min), downloaded with Shot Put and loaded into PP CC where it seems fine.
Weird thing is, the card shows less record time when freshly formatted than my older cards. Old card: 40min HD ProresHQ 23.98, new G series is 37 min record time at the same settings.
What am I missing? Is this a card issue or does the slightly faster read speed somehow subtract from capacity?
