Just thought i would start this thread now, so we can see how everyone made out this christmas (for us who celebrate), and who got some new cool gear,or what we got others, i know i WILL have my dvx out first thing in the morning, so lets see what everyone got or other cool XMAS videos!! MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!
 
Well... no vids here... but, I got the PC game "The Movies" and a free plane flight for my vacation to Virginia this Spring! Also got some clothes and gift cards/cash.

By the way: Be careful, the game is addicting... now, I'm afraid I'll be making movies on the computer, and not actually going out and doing the real thing!
 
Well I got to experience a Christmas Miracle! I actually SAW Santa Clause for the first time in my life! I had some of my video gear setup in the living room and I heard some commotion around 3am... we have an xmas tree that's about 12" tall in the middle of the floor... really sweet and easy to take down every year. So anyway I figured Santa finally came and he was placing tiny presents around the base of the tree. Well when I came down the hall in my onesies (complete with the feet on the bottom and rear hatch)... I must have startled Santa... because he spun around and charged me... swinging what I think was a bag of batteries... which knocked me out on the first hit.

I woke up this morning huddled by the little xmas tree and when I opened my eyes I was surprised to find a couple of tiny gift-wrapped candies, a tube of Chapstick, and some of my gear.
 
Mattin - LOL :) Make that into a video and you've got a Christmas Classic.

Being 10,000 miles form home has its advantages. All I get is cash every year. :)
 
A new computer chair.. so now I can be comfterble while I read DVXuser! :)

60GB ipod video, Back to the Future trilogy, Terminator 1 and 2, A fishing pole, myaunt got me the dragnet dvd collection for some odd reason, a dvd rack, a remote controlled UFO which is pretty badass, the pulp fiction soundtrack, my friend got me the Hitchcock dvd collection, a few books on the appalachian trail, and $300.

Viceo ipods are the ****!
 
I was blessed with quite a bit this Christmas, but my fiancee, always mindful of the fact that little boys never really grow up, especially at Christmas, got me the Ultimate Weapon in the Battle Between Man and Cat . . .

My coolest gift was a remote control helicopter; the thing is only about a foot long so you can fly it in the house, its awsome! Unfortunatly I broke it on the third flight, so I'm looking for a miniture repairman.
 
First let me cross post here, My WIFE buys me everything that I get.... but then again, I give her ALL my money anyway. Hmmm. I had to ASK for $$$ just to buy her her Christmas present.. (no.. not a juicer). But I digress.

Most of my gifts come in the rube of gifts for my kids. Santa brought some VERY cool SW lego sets... two HUGE Hummer R/C cars. They also got eyeToy for PS2 II (Nathan loves the boxing, daddy loves the baseball!).

I also FINALLY got Barry Green's book. Had to wait so long for this that it even has updates for the 100B... dang Barry, way to make my mouth drool. Family Guy season one (NOT for the kids... oh, but I can't wait to be the one to share the joys of Family Guy with the boys!!!)

AND - my big present... well, I told Linda not to really get me anything this year becasue I wanted to wait until MacWorld and see if the new iNtell minis were coming out.

So on x-mas eve she drags this heavy small box out of the garage and puts it under the tree...

UGH!!! She bought me one NOW.... NOOOOOOOO....

Also - I found my true Christmas Spirit nugget in my little terror of a 5 year old singing his heart out in church Saturday night dressed up in a little shephard costume.

Dang, why do they get it better than us.

I got a flying ufo that goes like 90 feet up but the wind took it away yesterday.:cry:
 
my brother got me a really cool metal computer mouse and ingraved in the metal it says "video editing in progress" it was neat.
 
I ordered some Sennheiser HD280 cans off Amazon. For uhh...monitoring audio while I'm recording. Soooo nice.

I also got a few sheets of CTB, one CTO 3/4 for my "HMI," another diffusion gel, and some gaff tape. Yeah, I'm a loser.
 
We've had a very rough time in our family recently, but the best thing I got for Christmas was this angel of a neice of mine to be out of the hospital finally and was brought to my home for a visit. My heart is just gooey mush for this little girl.
