Hi, I'm a new member of this great community. I think this is the right section for ask this. If not, sorry! Well, the think is that I have purchased a new DVX100AE and I want (I need!) the micro. I asked in my shop but they told me that only the Panasonic's one works well. Is that true? Cause it costs there 300 euros :-[

No, just purchased the BEST microphone your budget allows, I just purchased the Azden SGM-1X it was only $150 (126.00 EUR) form B&H Photo and it works quite well for my needs.

I will search for the one you tell in my spanish city (Barcelona) ;)

Another great pick, though a little more expensive, but that will give you lots of bang for the bucks is the Audio-Technica AT897. It can be found for around $250-$280 and is supposed to be a ME66-killer. Definitely alot better than the Panasonic one.
