XLR inputs audio levels

I am just using my XLR inputs to mic up talent...I am testing it now and the levels seem low and sometimes there seems to be some kind of echo...is there a setting to change or is my camera experiencing some tech problems. Please hurry back with the answer.

The audio levels all depend on your mic. Are you using a powered condenser mic, shotgun, etc? The echo is a result of shooting in 24p or even 30p, but don't worry, that echo is only audible when listening to the live feedback. It is because of the audio processing, the playback is actully slightly behind the acutal audio when listening in headphones. When you play it back later, the audio should be perfectly in sync with the video.
