XLR IN from BetaSP?

I'm going to use a DVX100 to convert a signal from a BetaSP deck, so I can pass it to my G5 as DV (via Firewire). I plan to connect the BetaSP deck to the DVX100 via s-video and then connect the DVX100 to my G5 using Firewire. Does anyone know if I can pass the audio from the BetaSP deck to the DVX100 using XLR cables or am I limited to RCA for sending audio in this fashion?

Haven't tried it but should work. Be sure to set the XLR inputs on the DVX to line level.

The XLR inputs are only available in camera mode. When in VCR mode, the only audio input available to the DVX is the RCA's.
