XLR cable length (15 /25) Diff in Sound

[schmedel]

I was going to buy a 15 foot pair of Canare XLR's and was wondering if there is an audible difference between this an a 25 foot pair? I've heard that you can run 100 feet because its powered. Thought I'd ask.

With a good cable you run even 1000 feet. No worry.

It's not because it's powered. It's because XLR circuits are (normally) transformer balanced and low impedance.

Its also got a ground running through the cable to soak up interference...
